I was sitting in the backyard and my 4 months old doggy was running to me , she was playing and jumping to me and my brother who brought it here was shouting at her , he was commanding not to jump on anybody but he was talking so fast giving multiple commands at a time , the next moment he started beating doggy and she was doing the same thing out of fear............
If we look at our job environment we also has subordinates who does like my doggy , they actually does all the things to make his boss happy but when boss says no or tells to do different things , he gets confused , the more he gets confused the more mistakes he does and there starts the organizational politics and if you ask who is responsible for this ,
I would not say it is subordinate .
Remember if your subordinate is in pet doggy state , please calm him down and make your communication clear and have pause while you communicate , Always keep in mind , initially you may like Pet doggy's act in later stage you may not but pet doggy doesn't understand this unless you guide !!
End of the day all subordinates try to impress the boss , guide them towards good things to impress you, you can maintain a healthy productive relationship , it is as simple as that.
So after reading this first thing to do is - Stop where ever you are and take 2 minutes and think " Am i communicating right "

Vijay
