Mr.X is been given an offer by a competitive company , it says thaat he will get 40% hike in his present CTC, and Mr.x cross checked with his present company and he understood that it will take 10+ years for his next promotion what will Mr.x do !!!

Normal case Mr.x will change...

why ?

in 10 years time lot of changes can happen in the company which will even lead to a situation where MR.x is no more with the company.

Now lets take a second scenario.
Mr.y is given a pressure from the organization where he is told to do a great amount of work which will eat his health ( Sleep and food)
what will Mr.y do !!

He will do the work with out fail.

why?
Normally Mr.y sees long term benefits of the work where he sees that he can enjoy his tomorrow if he work hard today and he even not bothers to care about his health.

In first situation if we can understand that it is difficult to think about future and what mr.x done is right !!
then why not we apply this to mr.y's case !!!

Time to think.

Many People Hibernate in their llife becaause of work pressure. By Hibernation what i mean is they dont know about that time is moving!!
